View ScheduleWhat can I expect on my first visit?
Walking into a new fitness or yoga studio by yourself for the first time can feel intimidating—we completely get it. From the moment you arrive, our goal is to help you feel comfortable, supported, and welcome in the space.
Please arrive about 10 minutes early to get settled. We have free parking available in the lot outside the studio.
When you walk in, you'll find an open lobby area where you can remove your shoes and hang up your jacket. From there, head into the studio and an instructor will be there to greet you, answer any questions, and help you get set up.
Can I come by myself?
Absolutely! Many of our students attend classes on their own. In fact, one of the biggest things we hear from new students is that they were nervous to walk through the door alone. Our community is welcoming and supportive, and we'll help you feel right at home.
What classes are best for beginners?
This is always such a personalized question. Most of our classes are beginner-friendly and offer modifications. Most often, it comes down to your preference for pace and intensity.
🧘 Slower, more relaxed pace:
- Beginner Yoga Alignment
- Slow Flow Yoga
- Yin Yoga
- Relax & Renew Yoga
🔥 More active or challenging:
- Vinyasa Flow Yoga
- Heated Power Yoga
- Barre Sculpt
- 50/50
- Strength Training
Not sure where to start? Contact us and we'll help match you with the best class for your goals.
What happens if I am put on a waitlist for class?
The waitlist notifies participants by email only when a spot becomes available. We recommend checking your email regularly if you're on a waitlist, especially within 24 hours of class.
Please note that you will not be automatically enrolled in the class. If a spot opens, you must accept the notification and complete your registration.
Do I have to be flexible to do yoga?
Absolutely not. Flexibility is something many students develop over time. Yoga meets you where you are today—not where you think you should be.
What if I have an injury or physical limitation?
If you're working with an injury, please let your instructor know before class. We regularly offer modifications and prop options to help students practice safely and comfortably.
If you're working with a more serious injury or recovering from surgery, please consult your doctor before attending class. You're also welcome to reach out before your first visit if you'd like guidance on which class might be the best fit.
Should I buy a membership or class pack?
If you're planning to attend regularly, one of our membership options is usually the best value. If you'd like more flexibility, a class pack may be a better fit. We also offer special rates for high school and college students.
Visit our pricing page or contact us and we'll help you choose the option that's right for you.
What makes Jenstar Movement Studio different?
Honestly, there are lots of great places to work out. What makes Jenstar special is the intention behind what we do. We believe movement can be a tool for learning about yourself, building confidence, and navigating life with a little more strength and grace.
"Yes, we want you to get stronger and feel good in your body. But we also believe that the lessons learned in class—patience, resilience, self-awareness, and showing up for yourself—extend far beyond the studio walls. That's what matters most to us."
Are there any studio policies I should be aware of?
A few housekeeping items to help our studio run smoothly:
💳 Class Packs & Purchases
All class packages and purchases have expiration dates and are non-refundable. Please choose a package that fits your schedule and allows you to use your classes within the allotted timeframe.
📲 Advance Registration Required
All classes require advance online registration. At this time, we are unable to accommodate walk-ins.
👥 Class Minimums
A minimum of two participants is required for a class to run. If the minimum is not met, the instructor will notify you of a cancellation at least 60 minutes before class.
* For early morning 5:30/6:00am classes, we ask that participants register by 9:00pm the evening before.
⏰ Class Cancellations
We kindly ask that all class cancellations be made at least 6 hours before the start of class. Late cancellations and no-shows will result in the loss of the class or applicable charge. You can easily manage your schedule through your online account.
🌦️ Weather Cancellations: In the event of severe weather, cancellations will be communicated via email and social media whenever possible.
🎉 Workshops & Special Events
Because workshops and specialty events are often one-time experiences with limited space, these purchases are non-refundable. If you're unable to attend, you're welcome to transfer your spot to a friend.
📴 Cell Phone Policy
To help create a space where everyone can disconnect from distractions and reconnect with themselves, we ask that cell phones remain outside of the classroom.
* If you're on call or expecting an important call, please let your instructor know before class and we'll be happy to accommodate.
