I acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Definition of “Organizers”
For the purposes of this agreement, the term “Organizers” includes any yoga or fitness instructor, retreat organizer, and any agents, employees, consultants, and/or independent contractors associated with the retreat.
2. Waiver of Liability & Assumption of Risk
I waive any and all claims that I may now have or may have in the future against the retreat and the Organizers. I release the Organizers from all liability and agree not to initiate any legal action against them for any personal injury, death, property damage, or other physical, mental, or economic loss sustained as a result of my participation in the retreat.
This includes, without limitation, any claims arising from negligence on the part of the Organizers.
3. Acknowledgement of Risks
I understand that participation in this retreat involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
- Physical exertion for which I may not be prepared
- Exposure to weather extremes or sudden and unexpected weather changes
- Limited access to or remoteness from medical services
- Potential evacuation difficulties in the event of illness or injury
4. Physical Health Acknowledgement
I understand that the retreat property and excursions may include stairs, uneven terrain, and natural pathways.
I acknowledge that participation in retreat activities requires a certain level of physical ability. I agree to participate at my own risk and take full responsibility for assessing my physical condition and capabilities prior to and during participation.
I agree to listen to my body, modify activities as needed, and take personal responsibility for my health, safety, and well-being throughout the retreat.
5. Mental Health Acknowledgement
Jenstar retreats are designed to support connection, well-being, and personal growth, but they are not a substitute for professional medical care, therapy, or counseling. If you are navigating physical or mental health concerns, we encourage you to seek support from a qualified professional.
To create a safe and supportive environment for everyone, all participants are expected to show respect and care for one another and for retreat leaders. Any behavior that is disruptive, unsafe, or harmful will be addressed immediately. If necessary, participants may be asked to leave the retreat at their own expense, and no refunds or credits will be provided.
6. Payment & Cancellation Terms
Upon acceptance, each retreat requires a non-refundable deposit to secure your reservation, along with this signed agreement within 48 hours of room confirmation. If the deposit is not received within this timeframe, your reservation may be released. All deposits are non-refundable, non-transferable, and not redeemable for account credit.
50% of the remaining balance due X months before the retreat (to be disclosed for each retreat and its specific dates).
All payments made on or after X date (will be clearly written in specific retreat agreement) are then non-refundable (up until the date, refunds will be issued by check, excluding the initial deposit and any associated fees).
The Final Payment is due in full on X date (to be disclosed for each retreat and its specific dates).
No refunds or credits will be issued for failure to attend or complete the retreat for any reason.
7. Trip Insurance
Trip insurance is not required for most retreats, but is strongly recommended to protect your investment in the event of cancellation, travel disruption, or medical issues.
Due to contractual obligations with the retreat property, no refunds, transfers, or credits can be offered once final payments are made—regardless of circumstances, including illness, injury, family emergencies, or other unforeseen events.
The Organizers are not responsible for the purchase, selection, or coverage of any trip insurance policy. Participants are responsible for researching and selecting a policy that meets their needs.
Specifically for Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) coverage, it is typically required within 14 days of your initial deposit. Other policies may be available for purchase closer to the retreat start date.
